Evaluation questions plan

1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? For this question i will be using Prezi. I will talk about how the conventions are portrayed through my work for example how my masthead is affective and i will compare this to my case study to prove whether or not it is effective and in what way it is effective. I will also place my case study and my magazine side by side and compare the conventions of the front page, contents page and the double page spread. 2. How does your media product represent particular social groups? For this question i will be using Powtoons. I will be talking about Which social gatherings i have used,which messages and qualities are joined to the representations of the characters in my magazine. I will also mention whether the sterotypes in my magazine are positive or negative and whether i have challenged or reinforced them. 3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? For this question i will be also using Prezi. I will talk about the 4 main distributors in the UK and expand on one of the Distributors further. I will then mention the distributor of my magazine and look at the connection between my case study and the distributor in order to justify why i have chosen this publisher. I will also mention how my magazine will be distributed and how often it will be distributed. 4. Who would be the audience for your media product? For this question i will use micro soft word. I will create an audience profile which is similar to a media kit. I will give example of 2 types of readers of my magazine and give a bit of a background information about them. Also i will include statistics of the ethnicity, age and gender groups to show what kind of people read my magazine. 5. How did you attract/address your audience? For this question i will use powerpoint and slide share. I will create the slides on powerpoint then transfer this onto slideshare in order to make it easier for me to upload this on my blog. In this question i will look at the different ways i have addressed my audience including the language and images used. 6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product? For this question i will also use powerpoint then slideshare. I will mention most of the programs i used such as Prezi, Timetoast, InDesign, Photoshop, Powtoons and slideshare. I will talk about the challenges i may have faced whilst working with this programs and a few strengths of the programs. 7. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? I will answer this question by using Prezi. I will talk about the main developments between my college magazine and my music magazine. I will then place my college cover page and music magazine cover page side by side and talk about particular developments then i will do the same with the contents page of both magazines.
